Why HBUT?

HBUT covers an area of more than 1.06 square kilometers, with a building area of about 1 million square meters. HBUT has fully fledged supporting facilities and infrastructure for teaching, scientific research, and public services. The student apartments are equipped with air-conditioning and hot water supply. As an outstanding university library in Hubei Province, the library is comprised of about 6 million volumes, and has an area of 46,000 square meters. HBUT offers a safe and smooth campus network, as well as a smart and fast campus service platform.

HBUT has established 16 schools and 1 affiliated college. HBUT enrolls students from a total number of 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities throughout China, and has an enrollment of more than 20,000 full-time students of all types, including over 5,800 postgraduates.  

      HBUT currently has more than 1,335 full-time faculty members, of whom over 674 are professors and associate professors, over 623 are doctoral supervisors and master’s supervisors. The proportion of teachers with doctorate degrees has reached more than 51%. HBUT has recruited 33 national elites, and more than 151 provincial experts specializing in various fields. In 2017, HBUT became the first provincial university in Hubei Province to build a 111 Center for discipline innovation and talent introduction, approved by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
