The 70th Anniversary of The Victory Of The Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression And The World Anti-Fascist War

Staged a grand parade on 3rd Sep,2015 in Tian'anmen Square to mark the 70th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45) and the end of World War II, China attracted the world's attention by showing the aspiration for peace and its determination to safeguard post-war international order.


Twenty-three heads of state and government leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and South Korean President Park Geun-hye, were present.UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was the first guest to be greeted. More than 100 foreign VIPs or relatives of wartime heroes attended the event, including relatives of Canadian doctor Norman Bethune, Japanese veterans who served in the Eighth Route Army and veterans of the "Flying Tigers" of the United States. The occasion saw the largest gathering of foreign guests invited to a military parade in China. 

President Xi Jinping delivered a speech before the parade to call people to commemorate the hard-won peace after years of bloody war that had inflicted heavy losses on China and other countries. Cut troop level by 300,000; Send message of peace; Never repeat the historical tragedy; A remarkable feat; Gratitude and welcome are the key points.


Thousands of Chinese troops, along with their counterparts from 17 countries, marched past Tian'anmen Square; tanks and armor vehicles mounted with drones and missiles rumbled by. They were saluted by military aircraft roaring overhead. Veterans, whose average age is more than 78, salute to the spectators of the anniversary. 

It was the first time that Xi Jinping had observed troops as the country's top leader and delivered a speech atop the Tian'anmen Rostrum.It also was the first time China had invited foreign troops to attend a parade since 1949, and nearly 1,000 foreign soldiers from 17 countries participated in the parade. Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Mongolia, Pakistan, Serbia, Tajikistan and Russia sent formations to join the parade. Another six countries, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Fiji, Laos, Vanuatu, and Venezuela sent military representatives.
            

              


President Xi Jinping said all countries should draw lessons from the history of World War II and stick to peaceful development.
