*Professor Sergey Bachurin received the Ph.D. degree in 1980 and Doctor of science degree in 1994 in Moscow State University. Since 1981 he is working in the Institute of Physiologically Active Compounds Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) in Chernogolovka city. Since 2006 till 2018 he was a Director of the Institute. Scince January 2019 he is a Scientific supervisor of IPAC RAS and Head of the Department of Medicinal and Biological Chemistry. In 2003 he was elected as a member of Russian Academy of Sciences. His research activity related to the discovery of novel agents for neurodegenerative diseases treatment, in particular for Alzheimer’s disease. He is the main author of the investigative drug for Alzheimer’s disease Dimebon, which successfully passed Phase 2 clinical trials on AD patients (Lancet 2008,372(9634):207-15) and number of novel neuroprotective agents that have passed preclinical trials (Mol Neurobiol. 2018 Jan;55(1):335; Sci Rep. 2017 Mar 30;7:#45627). He is the author of more than 250 articles in peer-reviewing journals and about 40 patents. Bachurin was invited lecturer in University of California, San Francisco and in Tufts University, Boston. He is the Chairman of Scientific Council of RAS on “Medicinal Chemistry”, Head of Moscow Chemical Society and Council member of European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry.

*Prof. Dr. Mikhail I. Alymov was born on November 8th, 1957. In 1981, he graduated from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI, Moscow, Russia) and received his Diploma in the special field “Physics of metals and metal science”. In 1987, he defended his Ph.D. thesis in Engineering at that institute. In 1997, he successfully defended his D.Sc. thesis in the special fields “Powder metallurgy and composite materials” at Baikov Institute of metallurgy Russian Academy of Sciences (IMET RAS, Moscow, Russia). Since 1987 till 2012, Dr. Alymov has worked at IMET RAS. During this time, he was progressively promoted from researcher to head of laboratory. Besides, he held the professor’s position at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute. Since 2012 he is head of department Physics of Strength in MEPhI. Since 2012 till present, he is the director of the Institute of Structural Macrokinetics and Materials Science Russian Academy of Sciences. Based on the results of his research and development activities, Dr. Alymov published more than 300 works including 5 monographs. The scientific and technical achievements of Dr. Alymov and his disciples have been repeatedly exhibited at various exhibitions, symposia and congresses and have gained recognition both in Russia and abroad.

*Harald Fuchs is a Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Münster, Germany, Scientific Director of the Center of Nanotechnology in Münster, and co-director of the Institute of Nanotechnology in Karlsruhe. His research focuses on nanoscale science and nanotechnology, ranging from scanning probe microscopy to self organized nanostructure fabrication, and nano–bio systems. He has published more than 450 scientific articles in various journals as an author or co-author. He was awarded the Philip Morris Research Prize "Challenge Future" in 1994 and the Münsterland Innovation Prize in 2001. He is currently member of the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina, the German "National academy of science and engineering as well as "The world academy of sciences". He holds two guest professorships in China. He is a cofounder of several nanotechnology companies and a member of the Editorial Boards in several international journals. In 2015 he received an Honorary Professorship at the Nanjing-Tech-University, China.

*Eric Westhof is professor of biophysics and structural biochemistry at the University of Strasbourg, France.  He is director of the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of the CNRS where he leads the unit « Architecture & Reactivity of RNA». His research focuses on the relationships between sequences, structures, evolution and functions of RNA molecules using crystallography, bioinformatics, genomics and modeling approaches. He is a member of the Academie des sciences, head of Education and Training and a member of the Board of Directors of the "La Main à la pâte" Foundation.

*Blyum Yaroslav, Ukrainian, was born on April 8th, 1956, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He is currently the director and professor of the Ukrainian Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics, and he graduated from Kiev State University, majoring in biology/biochemistry. His main research field is clean energy production. He won the Jurjev Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2002, and won the National Science and Technology Award of Ukraine in 2011 and he was named the Meritorious Scientific and Technological Worker of Ukraine in 2016.

*Arvid Naess, Norwegian, born on November 17th, 1947, is currently a professor at the School of Information Technology, Mathematics and Electronic Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He is the winner of "Buddha Lohden Searle Award" of American Civil Engineering Association in 2010. He is also the member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American society of mechanical engineers, Industrial and Applied Mathematics Society, European Mathematics Society, European Mechanics Society.
