Hundreds of International Students Started A New Journey at Wenzhou Medical University
President Qu Jia warmly welcomes the new international students who came across the globe in pursuit of their dreams to China, and shares the Wenzhou Medical University's alumni Jian Zhou outstanding deeds and achievement and also two weeks ago, Youyou Tu, a Chinese scientist, was awarded 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for developing Artemisinin case share with everyone to encourage the students to work hard, learn to teach yourself, to become a self learner, to be deeply committed to lifelong learning. Teachers representative Ronghan Wu shared his unforgettable experience in Africa with the students, and hope students will cherish this time to study abroad, knowledge of East and West, and to broaden their horizons in life.
It is reported that this year is the first time WMU recruit pharmacy and nursing major undergraduate students. There are currently more than 650 students from 55 countries and across 5 continents are studying at our university. At present, the students in our school has extended to self-supported students, the Chinese government scholarship students and university scholarship students, the Confucius institute scholarship students (non-degree) in three categories. The number of international graduate students in our university has reached 308 people.
