2018 International Cultural Festival at CUMT
On the evening of December 16, the Closing Ceremony of the Sixth International Cultural Festival of China University of Mining and Technology and Xuzhou International Student Music Festival 2018, sponsored by the International College of China University of Mining and Technology, was held in the North Square of Wenchang Campus of China University of Mining and Technology.
There were five universities and eight countries represented: Jiangsu Normal University, Xuzhou Medical University, Xuzhou Engineering College, Xuzhou Polytechnic College of Industry, China University of Mining and Technology.
Fifteen contestants entered the finals. Sang Shuxun, Dean of International College of China University of Mining and Technology, Li Honghai, Vice Dean, Zhu Chunmei, Vice Dean of International Education College of Xuzhou Medical University, Meng Qingguo, Director of Admission and Student Management Office, and foreign student counselors attended the festival.
After fierce competition, rap groups Bartuah, Daniel and Michelle from China Mining University and Jiangsu Normal University won the gold prize, Kazakhstan international student Jiaqi with a rendition of Rizamyn from Xuzhou Institute of Technology won the silver prize, Russian international student Polina from China University of Mining and Technology won the bronze prize, and Cameroonian international student Maben from Xuzhou Institute of Engineering won the gold prize.
Indian international student Suri, Russian international student Anastasiia of China University of Mining and Technology, and Kazakh international student Ulpan of China University of Mining and Technology were awarded the Best Population Award, the Most Characteristic Award, the Most Beautiful Chinese Voice and the Best Stage Performance Award respectively. Zhu Chunmei, Vice Dean of International Education College of Xuzhou Medical University, and Li, Vice Dean of International College of China University of Mining and Technology, respectively.
Awards were presented to the winners and they were congratulated.
