Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship Application for New Degree Students
The Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship (BMGS) is a scholarship provided by the Beijing Municipal People's Government to develop the scale of high-level international students in higher education institutions in Beijing and promote the overall level of internationalization of higher education in Beijing. The BMGS generally provides tuition assistance for students applying to pursue Non-degree, Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral degrees at higher education institutions in Beijing. Applicants can directly contact their universities to inquire about relevant information.
1.Types of Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship "Academic Freshman Award"
1) Full scholarship:
Undergraduate students: 20000 yuan/year
Master's students: 30000 yuan/year
Doctoral students: 40000 yuan/year
2) Partial scholarship:
Undergraduate students: 10000 yuan/year
Master's students: 15000 yuan/year
Doctoral students: 20000 yuan/year
Outstanding international students who have enrolled in undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs at the University of International Business and Economics in the 2024 academic year.
3.Eligibility for application
1) Applicants must be non Chinese, non Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan citizens.
2) Must comply with Chinese laws and have no criminal record.
3) Must comply with the discipline and rules of the UIBE, and have no disciplinary record.
4) Should have an excellent academic performance.
The above conditions must be simultaneously satisfied.
4.Application materials
( Written in Chinese or English only; application materials will not be returned )
1) Fill out and submit the "Application Form for Beijing Government Scholarship" for foreign students studying in Beijing.
2) Proof of highest education and academic transcript.
3) Applicants for degree programs should provide a study plan (not less than 400 words) or a research plan (not less than 800 words).
4) Provide relevant supporting materials and information such as honor certificates, academic publications, scientific research achievements, patents and inventions, if any.
5.Application time and result announcement
New students applying for scholarships should submit their applications to the Admissions and Project Development Department between October 31st and November 15th, and the scholarship results will be announced at the end of November.
